# ATS Activity's new Sub Type field

We have added another field to the ATS Activity schema: `sub_type` .  While the `type` field is an enum with values `NOTE`, `TASK` and `EMAIL`, the `sub_type` field is a freeform string and can contain any value.


The field is used to denote a sub type of the specified type and is currently only supported on `JobAdder` and `BullHorn`.


For `JobAdder`, which supports all 3 unified `types`, the following sub-types are usually supported:

- WhatsApp SMS
- Phone call
- Email sent
- Email received
- Internal Interview
- Request further information
- Client Interview
- References
- Transcripts / Certificates
- Status Change
- Resume Submitted
- Left Message
- Offer
- SMS

For `BullHorn`, which only supports the `NOTE` type, these are the usual sub types supported:

- Attempted Contact
- Coordination
- QC
- Sourcing
- Candidate Call
- Candidate Interview
- General Intel
- Actionable Intel
- Unqualified Lead
- MPC
- Business Development
- Client MeetingPitch
- Reference Check
- Email
- Other
